Click the “pause” button when you hear the end of that idea, and write down the counter time, and whether it is idea a or idea b.

I‌‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌n this assignment, you will listen to Handel’s See Here the Conqu’ring Hero Comes and identify the musical ideas in the piece, as follows:
Listen to the attached music
Watch the counter on the player, and click the pause button when you hear the beginning of the first musical idea (A or B).
While the player is paused, write down the counter time at the beginning of that first idea. Make sure you label the musical idea as Idea A or Idea B.
Then, click the “play” button again, and listen for the end of the idea currently in progress (Idea A or B).
Click the “pause” button when you hear the end of that idea, and write down the counter time, and whether it is Idea A or Idea B.
For example: Idea A 0:18-0:24
Idea B 0.25-0:38
6.Continue writing down the order of musical ideas A and B (‌‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌including their start and stop times) throughout the entire piece, and try to identify any pattern you see.
Here is a YouTube link of the same performance, in case you are having troubles with the audio:

Submit your list of beginning and ending counter times for each musical idea as it occurs, identifying the “A”s and “B”s associated with those times, and the recurring pattern (if you were able to identify one).
Notice the changes in dynamic levels (volume). Can you identify which instruments are added towards the end to support the character suggested in the title of the piece? Explain how Handel uses dynamics and timbre to achieve variety in the examples that you created.
Two well written paragraphs about the piece, with as many details as you hear, will be enough‌‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌.

Events of the scene.

Reaction Paper 3 Directions
Write a reaction paper on the musical piece. Imagine that you have taken on the task of making
a 38-minute video about your own life, set to this music. Describe the scenes in the video. (It
can be four separate stories from your own life, with a movement for each, or one story in four
parts, with a movement for each part.)
Start with an introductory paragraph. Give a brief overview statement of the paper’s contents
as spelled out below, identifying the composition and composer by name, and summarily
previewing the key points of the paragraphs to follow.
Like most symphonies, Beethoven’s 5th is in four movements. Since there are four movements
to the symphony, after the intro paragraph write four substantive paragraphs, each explaining
the scene associated with that movement of the symphony, and how the elements of music as
found‌‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌ in Kamien and used in the movement of the symphony would fit the emotions and
events of the scene.
Tip: shoot for a 50/50 balance of attention and detail between details about the
music—the way it uses the elements (tempo, meter, dynamics, modality [major/minor],
harmonic tension [consonant/dissonant], timbre, texture [which “-phonic” word], and
form)—and how each connects with the personal details it evokes in your hearing. Don’t
start the paragraph with something like “this movement’s upbeat pace reminded me
of…” and then spend the rest of it telling your personal story with no more reference to
the music’s details.
That said, there is no one "right" answer, only answers that show you understand the elements
of music as they are used in each the four movements of the symphony, and answers that show
you don’t.
Be sure to include at least two resources, including the textbook. The sources should be
properly re‌‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌ferenced in APA format.

3. Review the Terminological Starter.
4. Use 800 words and fill out all 5 sections of the template.

hear and how/where you can hear it. Locate at least one syncopation and one instance of dotted
rhythms, or state that there are no such instances.
Section 2: Major and/or Minor Harmonies: explain which you think you hear, where, and why. Be sure
to clarify if you’re labeling the entire song as major and minor or simply a specific moment. Check for
consonance/dissonance.
Section 3: Conjunct and/or Disjunct melody: locate one or both of these melodic styles within the song
(be specific about where), and explain why you think you’re correct. Address melodic shape.
Section 4: Homophony and/or Polyphony: locate one or both of these textures within the song (be
specific about where), and explain why you think you’re correct.

Anna Nicole the Opera is a controversial opera. In fact some critics deny it can even be considered an opera. I want to argue that the opera is a de jure opera and contains just as much artistic value as classics.
